Editkit.tools ("we", "our") operates Mac applications and web tools at editkit.tools. This policy explains what information — if any — is collected and how it is handled.
Overview
Our approach is simple: collect the minimum information needed to operate, and never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.
Mac Applications
What we collect
Our Mac applications run entirely on your local machine. By default, they do not collect, transmit, or store personal information. All file processing happens locally on your device.
Crash reporting
Some apps may use Apple's built-in crash reporting, subject to your macOS privacy settings and Apple's own privacy policy. We may receive anonymised crash logs through Xcode Organiser to identify and fix bugs. These logs do not contain personally identifiable information.
Files you process
Files you open or process within our apps stay on your device. We do not upload, access, or transmit any files you work with.
This Website
Hosting
This site is hosted by Netlify, which may collect standard server log data (IP addresses, browser type, pages visited) as part of normal hosting operations. See Netlify's privacy policy.
Analytics
We do not use third-party analytics, tracking scripts, cookies, or behavioural advertising on this site.
Contact forms
If you submit a support request, the information you provide (name, email, message) is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not retained beyond that.
App Store Purchases
All payment processing for Mac App Store purchases is handled by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's billing data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
Our tools are designed for professional use and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your Rights
Since we collect minimal personal data, most rights under GDPR and UK GDPR are automatically satisfied. If you believe we hold any personal information about you and wish to access, correct, or delete it, contact us at the address below.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be noted with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our apps or this site constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
